City Boards:

Airport Advisory Board
The Airport Advisory Board is responsible for advising the City Commission on all matters pertaining to the Goodland Municipal Airport/Renner Field.

Cemetery Advisory Board
The Cemetery Advisory Board makes recommendations to the governing body as to all major proposals and propositions for the construction and improvement of the City Cemetery, including the acquisition of land and the acquisition of major equipment and facilities for cemetery purposes.

Construction Advisory Board of Trades/Appeals
The Construction Advisory Board of Trades and Appeals works to study the construction codes of the City and to make recommendations for changes and amendments. The board also makes recommendations to resolve disputes with code interpretation and establishes a general policy for enforcement. The board also regularly reviews and monitors contract licensing and continuing education requirements.

Planning Commission/Board of Zoning Appeals
The Planning Commission/BZA makes recommendations on applications for annexation, rezoning, special/conditional uses and subdivisions to ensure the orderly growth of Goodland.  In addition, the Planning Commission/BZA hears and decides on cases of alleged error in enforcement of the building code and hears requests for variances.

High Plains Museum Advisory Board
The High Plains Museum Advisory Board shall work with the Museum Director and make recommendations to the governing body concerning the development of policies, procedures and activities of the museum.

Parks and Recreation/Tree Board
The Parks and Recreation/Tree Board shall make recommendations to the governing body as to all major proposals and propositions for the construction, reconstruction and improvement of public parks and recreational facilities. In addition, the Board shall study, investigate, counsel and develop/update annually a written plan for the care, preservation, trimming, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in public ways, streets and alleys.
